Job summary

Exelon in Illinois is seeking a Senior Manager of Relay & Protection Engineering to lead the T&S Relay Engineering organization, oversee staff of engineers, and ensure all designs meet EED standards and design basis for substations.

The role requires strategic leadership, budget management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety, reliability, and strong customer outcomes across the energy delivery system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 8–10 years of design experience, or 12 years without a degree
• PE license preferred
• Understanding of transmission and substation components and systems

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed engineering and design in support of ongoing engineering efforts for internal and external organizations.
• Drives and oversees strategic and tactical initiatives to ensure safety, reliability, and performance goals.
• Manage the overall budget and establish/monitor business plans and objectives.
• Develop and maintain an environment of high performance and learning; act as a change agent.
• Provide leadership to and development of the Design team; conduct performance planning and appraisals.
