Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a Time & Materials (T&M) Billing Specialist to report to the Billing Manager. The role focuses ~70% on T&M billings, ~25% assisting project managers with cost research and code setup, and ~5% on other accounting tasks.

Strong customer-service orientation and diplomacy are essential for interacting with project managers and customers. The position requires 5+ years in billing/accounting, proficiency with PDF form fillers, and preferred experience in construction

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A driven self-starter that can take the lead on initiatives and follow-through on existing commitments.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Word.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written. Able to communicate with project managers, customers, co-workers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Assist Billing Manager in implementing cost-recoverable T&M billings.
• Research and resolve job/project cost issues through investigation and analysis.
• Prepare monthly billing projections and submit for invoice preparation on a timely basis.
• Support PMs with Job Cost reports and change order logs.
• Set up new construction jobs in the system with cost-tracking numbers.
• Maintain knowledge of accounting software and train others as needed.
• Back up billing functions including invoice entry and document handling.
