Job description

The Ark-Tex Urban Transit (ATUT) is now accepting applications for a full-time Dispatcher/Scheduler. This position is responsible for scheduling client pick-up as well as dispatch paratransit vehicles.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Requires high school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years dispatching experience in the Transportation field.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA's)

Knowledge of transit operations and practices, particularly of demand-responsive systems. Knowledge of roads and streets within given region. Computer skills with knowledge of Windows environment programs such as Word and Excel Must possess ability to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the ability to proofread material to ensure accuracy. Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 30 pounds required.

Additional Requirement: Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license subject to an approved motor vehicle report.
