Job summary

Ark-Tex Urban Transit is seeking a part-time Dispatcher/Scheduler to coordinate client pick-ups and dispatch paratransit vehicles. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of dispatching experience in transportation.

Knowledge of transit operations, Windows/Office, and strong proofreading skills are essential. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Job description

The Ark-Tex Urban Transit (ATUT) is now accepting applications for a part-time Dispatcher/Scheduler . This position is responsible for scheduling client pick-up as well as dispatch paratransit vehicles.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Requires high school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years dispatching experience in the Transportation field.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA's)

Knowledge of transit operations and practices, particularly of demand-responsive systems. Knowledge of roads and streets within given region. Computer skills with knowledge of Windows environment programs such as Word and Excel Must possess ability to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the ability to proofread material to ensure accuracy. Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 30 pounds required.

Additional Requirement: Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license subject to an approved motor vehicle report.
