Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is helping a client in the utilities sector fill a Project Manager role focused on Transmission, Distribution and Substation projects. On-site work across Akron, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Reading, PA; Richmond, VA with ownership of scope, schedule, and costs.

Candidates should have 8+ years in utility project management, PMP preferred, and experience across construction and commissioning phases. Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 with strong growth potential and benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant project/construction management experience.
• Direct electric utility T&D and/or Substation project-management experience is required.
• Experience managing utility construction project sites.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project closeout.
• Hands-on responsibility for budgets, forecasts, schedules and cost controls.
• Strong engineering/construction coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Transmission, Distribution and/or Substation capital projects.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting and cost controls.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and utility operations.
• Lead preconstruction, progress, contractor and client meetings.
• Prepare project status, cost, schedule and risk reporting.
• Manage turnover documentation, punch lists, warranties and final project closeout.
• Maintain strong client relationships across multiple projects.
