Goodwin Recruiting in Akron, OH seeks an Assistant Project Manager – T&D / Substation to support major utility infrastructure projects. This on-site role suits an early-career professional aiming for long-term growth in project management within the utility sector.

Responsibilities include planning through closeout, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, with interactions across engineers, contractors, and field teams. Requires a relevant degree and 1–4 years of T&D/Substation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is REQUIRED.
• 1–4 years of utility infrastructure, T&D, or Substation experience.
• T&D and/or Substation project experience is REQUIRED.
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, or construction coordination.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• MS Project, Primavera P6, or Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support T&D and Substation projects from planning through closeout.
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, utilities, and field teams.
• Support construction, procurement, permitting, and field activities.
• Track project milestones, costs, risks, and documentation.
• Assist with project reporting and client communication.
