Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager for utility T&D and Substations in the Akron area. You will own capital projects from preconstruction through commissioning, coordinating engineering, procurement and construction with field teams and utility stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in utility project/construction management, direct T&D/substation experience, and strong budgeting and scheduling skills. On-site role with US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant project/construction management experience.
• Direct electric utility T&D and/or Substation project management experience.
• Experience managing utility construction project sites.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, schedules and cost controls.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electric utility capital projects from preconstruction through energization and closeout.
• Manage Transmission, Distribution and Substation capital projects.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting and cost controls.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and utility operations.
• Lead meetings with contractors, clients and field personnel.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule and cost performance on site.
• Prepare project status, cost, schedule and risk reporting.
• Manage turnover documentation, warranties and final closeout.
