Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Materials Manager in Austin, TX for a 12-month contract. The role oversees receiving, storage, and transfer of client-procured materials to subcontractors across project sites, with technical oversight of Field Materials Coordinators and cross-team collaboration to keep shipments on schedule.

The position requires T&D materials management experience, with travel up to 20%, and onsite work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 11 years of direct materials management experience in the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work with teams and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage receiving, inspection, storage, and transfer of client-procured materials and equipment to subcontractors at project sites.
• Direct and oversee the Field Materials Coordinator, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Analyze and present material status reports to ensure shipments are on schedule.
• Advise Procurement on developments impacting cost, schedule, and client relationships.
• Coordinate delivery schedules between job site and procurement.
• Oversee receiving for all incoming shipments.
