Job summary

CrossConnect Talent is seeking a T&D Superintendent to oversee field operations for transmission and distribution projects across the United States. The role requires traveling to project sites and coordinating with subcontractors and clients to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution.

You will lead daily field operations for high-voltage systems, review drawings, and support field engineering tasks such as RFIs, as-builts, testing, and punch lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years in T&D construction or craft supervision.
• OR high school diploma/GED with 11 years in T&D construction or craft supervision.
• Strong leadership, communication, and safety-first mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to meet driving requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in transmission, substation, or utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for high-voltage transmission lines, steel and wood structures, foundations, grounding, substation equipment, and electrical/control systems.
• Manage subcontractor performance, scheduling, progress tracking, and compliance with all contractual and safety requirements.
• Oversee craft supervision, workforce planning, productivity, material management, and equipment use.
• Review drawings, verify correct revisions, and support field engineering needs including RFIs, as-builts, testing, and punch lists.
• Conduct and document daily field reports, safety audits, PTAs/TSOs, and progress photos.
• Coordinate closely with project management, QA/QC, materials management, and client representatives to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Support procurement needs, field change orders, site documentation, and adherence to project procedures.

The T&D Superintendent oversees field operations for transmission and distribution projects, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution. Travel required — project sites vary across the U.S. This role plans, organizes, and supervises all construction activities within an assigned area while maintaining strong subcontractor coordination and client relationships.

• Nationwide Travel Required
• Rotation home every 4 weeks
