Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a full-time co-op intern to support our Transmission & Distribution group in Ohio. You must be enrolled in a formal co-op program and available to work full-time during the Fall 2026 term. Duties include filing, scanning, data entry, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and assisting with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred. The position offers exposure to engineering design, data analysis, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus, community or other volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
