Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Denver, CO, to support standard engineering techniques, design workflows, and project tasks across market segments. Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, and assisting lead engineers on varied assignments. A GPA of 3.0+ and campus involvement are preferred.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field, with ABET accreditation preferred. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
