Job summary

The United Illuminating Company is seeking an Engineer for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) to review, analyze, and coordinate moderate to complex planned construction projects and outages for the T&D system. You will collaborate with internal teams and external operators to ensure reliability and compliance.

The role requires a BS/BA in Electrical Engineering (ABET) and several years of experience; you will mentor colleagues and develop drawings, one-line diagrams, and system analyses while

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree required.
• 2–5+ years engineering experience required.
• Ability to document and interpret engineering documentation.
• Review and approve engineering work to ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (Local, State, Federal).

Responsibilities

• Perform system analyses, design and calculations.
• Coordinate outages and clearance requests.
• Mentor and guide other engineers.
• Develop drawings and one-line diagrams.
• Plan, schedule, monitor budget for tasks.
