Job summary

PURVIS Systems seeks a Systems Trainer to educate submarine crews on Windows and Red Hat systems, certify configurations, and ensure secure, mission-critical operations aboard submarines and at port. You will work with senior Navy personnel and support special projects software/hardware development.

The role requires strong communication skills, curriculum design experience, and ability to travel up to 30% to CONUS/shipboard locations while maintaining TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT and submarine operations with curriculum development.
• Hands-on administration of Windows Server and RHEL systems.
• Ability to certify systems onboard submarines and communicate with military staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OS training, configuration, and certification for Windows and RHEL on submarines.
• Deliver system briefs to Commanding Officers and crew.
• Develop, test, and repair software/hardware for NUWC Code 34 Special Projects.
• Support TEMPALTS development for Special Projects requirements.
• Prepare systems for shipment and installation, and create testing procedures.
• Assist in submarine onboard system installation and cybersecurity scans.
• Travel about 30% of the time.
