Job summary

PURVIS Systems is seeking a Systems Trainer in Rhode Island to train, brief, and certify submarine onboard systems and support port operations. You will work in teams and individually to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

The role requires OS training for Windows and RHEL on submarines, development/testing of NUWC Code 34 systems, and travel about 30%. A TOP SECRET/SCI clearance is required, with strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience with submarine operations background.
• Experience implementing Windows Server 2019, Windows 10, and RHEL 7.
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum for onboard certification.

Responsibilities

• Train, brief, and certify Windows and RHEL systems on submarines.
• Deliver system briefs to Commanding Officers and crew.
• Develop, test, and repair hardware/software for NUWC Code 34 Projects.
• Assist in creating TEMPALTS and pre-shipment preparation.
• Develop testing procedures for RHEL and Windows systems.
• Perform cybersecurity scans.
• Travel approximately 30% of the time.
