Job summary

Mercury Systems seeks a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program in Torrance, CA. The REP Engineer will work across verification, test, and integration teams to support avionic products for defense applications.

You will gain hands-on technical leadership, participate in cross-functional rotations, and collaborate with senior leaders while developing core engineering competencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or related field.
• GPA 3.1 or higher and transcripts may be requested.
• Prior Co-Op or internship experience required.
• Foundational electronics, embedded systems, and board-level hardware.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets.
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Verification Test plans and procedures from requirements.
• Execute verification across hardware products for validation.
• Document results, identify defects, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Support NPI by transferring products to production and creating test docs.
• Provide debug support for production and improve test processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams across lifecycle.

College Graduate - Rotational Engineering Program (REP) - start date July 2027 in Torrance, CA

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program, a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. As a Verification & TestREP Engineer,you'lljoin a collaborative integration, verification & test team focused on test efforts in developing and executing avionic systems for mission critical aerospace and defense applications.This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring product reliability, performance, and security across the full engineering lifecycle from concept to sustainment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop Verification Test plans and procedures based on product requirements and engineering specifications
• Execute Verification across multiple hardware products, ensuring thorough validation of functionality, performance, and reliability
• Document test results, identify defects, and work with crossfunctional engineering teams to drive rootcause analysis and corrective actions
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by transferring products from engineering development to production, including creating test documentation, training, and troubleshooting guidance
• Provide ongoing debug support for products in production, resolving issues related to test failures, hardware behavior, or process gaps
• Maintain and improve test processes, tools, and fixtures to enhance test coverage and efficiency
• Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure a smooth product lifecycle from development through release

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical fieldobtainedbetween May 2026 and June 2027
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
• Prior Co-Op or internship experience
• Foundational understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and boardlevel hardware
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and engineering requirements
• Experience using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators)
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problemsolving skills
• Ability to develop clear, concise test plans, procedures, and documentation
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Handson experience performing boardlevel DVT, functional testing, or hardware validation
• Familiarity with hardware bringup, failure analysis, or componentlevel debugging
• Experience supporting product transfer from engineering to production environments
• Knowledge of automated test systems or scripting languages (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
• Understanding of manufacturing test processes or production line workflows
• Exposure to reliability testing, environmental stress screening (ESS), or similar engineering test methodologies
