Mercury Systems in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a recent electrical engineering graduate for the Rotational Engineering Program (REP). You will work on microelectronics and space-grade designs within a collaborative team, gaining hands-on experience across architecture, schematic, and layout tasks.

The two-year program provides exposure to cross-functional groups, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to contribute to radiation-tolerant Space Drives and SiP/flip-chip solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering with graduation between May 2026 and June 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.1; transcripts required.
  • Prior CoOp or internship experience in engineering/electronics.
  • Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
  • Familiarity with SPICE-based simulators (PSpice, LTspice).
  • Hands-on electronics lab experience (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support design and development of microelectronics modules, including schematic capture and PCB layout review.
  • Perform hands-on lab testing, board bring-up, debugging, and verification of high-reliability electronics.
  • Assist in developing SiP and flip-chip solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze circuit performance using simulations and document results for design reviews.
  • Contribute to radiation-tolerant electronics development for Space Drives and aerospace applications.
  • Participate in peer design reviews and provide technical feedback.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups to meet requirements and program objectives.
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

College Graduate - Rotational Engineering Program (REP) - start date July 2027 in Phoenix, AZ

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program, a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. As an Electrical REP Engineer,you'lljoin a collaborative Electrical Engineering design team focused on Microelectronics and Space applications. This role offers hands on experience on architectural, schematic, layout design for high reliability ruggedized and such as System in Package flip chip applications and radiation tolerant Space Drive products.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and development of microelectronics modules, including schematic capture, PCB layout review, and component selection
  • Perform handson lab testing, including board bringup, debugging, and verification of highreliability electronics
  • Assist in developing SysteminPackage (SiP) and flipchip solutions through collaboration with packaging, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering teams
  • Analyze circuit performance using simulation tools and document results for design reviews
  • Contribute to radiationtolerant electronics development for Space Drives and other aerospace applications
  • Participate in peer design reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including test procedures, test reports, and design artifacts
  • Work closely with crossfunctional engineering groups to understand requirements, constraints, and program objectives
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and rootcause analysis to improve design robustness
  • Learn Mercury engineering processes, tools, and highreliability design methodologies through structured development activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering obtainedbetween May 2026 and June 2027
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the application process
  • Prior CoOp or internship experience in an engineering or electronics-focused environment
  • Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Experience using schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SPICEbased circuit simulation tools such as PSpice or LTspice
  • Handson electronics lab experience, including use of oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers
  • Ability to interpret and work with engineering documentation (schematics, specifications, test results)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills supported by academic or project work
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and crossfunctional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and engineering concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework or project experience in RF, highspeed digital, or power electronics
  • Exposure to radiationtolerant or spacegrade component selection and design practices
  • Experience with Python or MATLAB for data analysis, automation, or test scripting
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering concepts such as derating, thermal analysis, or failure modes
  • Knowledge of embedded systems or firmware fundamentals
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git
  • Prior experience working with DoD or aerospace hardware (even through school projects)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for electronics (SMT, inspection, packaging)
