Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

As a Contract System Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in verifying a complex medical robotic system. This role involves designing and executing system-level tests, ensuring compliance with medical device standards, and supporting traceability and risk management. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of verification practices within a dynamic and high-impact engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test methods for verifying complex electromechanical medical systems.
• Execute system and subsystem-level verification and validation (V&V) testing.
• Support traceability of multi-layered product requirements and associated risks.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of verification and issue management processes and toolchains.
• Ensure compliance with applicable medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1).
• Determine appropriate sample sizes using statistical methods and analyze test outcomes.
• Validate software tools and test fixtures used in the verification process.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support design and quality improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Systems, Biomedical, Robotics, Software, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of technical experience in the medical device industry (medical/surgical robotics preferred).
• Proven experience in system verification planning and execution.
• Strong knowledge of requirements traceability and risk management.
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., IEC 60601 family).
• Proficient in statistical analysis and verification sample size determination.
• Experience with software and hardware validation practices.
