Job summary

Merchants Bonding Company is seeking a Systems Support Intern in West Des Moines, IA for a 12-week, in-office program. The role focuses on solving inefficiencies, cleaning digital clutter, and building smarter systems using Microsoft 365 tools.

You will gain hands-on experience across departments, collaborating with IT and end users to adopt new workflows, restructure digital files, and create useful templates and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong academic performance with coursework in IS/DBMS/Systems Analysis & Design.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools.
• Demonstrated work experience highlighting problem solving and teamwork.
• Leadership and initiative in improving a system or process.
• Professional development through certifications or tech clubs.
• Collaborative ability to work with cross-functional teams and explain tech to non-tech users.

Responsibilities

• Help teams adopt new processes and improve day-to-day use of Microsoft 365 tools.
• Build or enhance workflows using Power Automate and Microsoft Forms.
• Review and restructure digital file systems in Microsoft tools like OneDrive.
• Audit documents and identify opportunities for simplification, consolidation, or clean-up.
• Create templates, guides, and documentation for department-level use.
• Collaborate with IT and end users to support process improvements and ensure a smooth transition.
