Job summary

re:Cycle Reverse Logistics is seeking a Systems Support Engineer based in CVG110 to deploy, maintain, and improve test environments supporting Failure Analysis for ITAD services. You will develop automation, monitor health, and collaborate with Failure Analysis and Hardware teams to ensure scalable testing infrastructure.

The role requires strong ownership, Linux systems experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment within the Amazon corporate family context.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Linux administration or development experience
• 1+ years of work in at least two languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
• Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development
• Experience in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve testing environments for Failure Analysis of platforms and components.
• Develop and support automation, scripting, and engineering tools that improve testing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Utilize source control, code review, change management, and deployment mechanisms to safely implement technical changes.
• Monitor infrastructure health, investigate failures, identify root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
• Develop and improve reporting, dashboards, technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes.
• Manage engineering work through established project and ticketing mechanisms, including ownership, deliverables, risks, and escalations.
• Support testing solutions throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements and deployment through sustainment and continuous improvement.
• Maintain required test infrastructure materials, components, and inventory.
