Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking an IT Support Technician to maintain in-house technology equipment and provide end-user support on-site in Little Rock. The role focuses on desk­top hardware, software, and network systems, with responsive incident handling and documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a diploma.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.
  • A+ - CompTIA, Network+ - CompTIA, Security+ - CompTIA certifications preferred.
  • Experience with desktop hardware, software and network systems.
  • On-site IT support and maintenance across computer and network environments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains desktop hardware/software and network support.
  • Receives and responds to calls, pages, and emails regarding computer systems and network problems.
  • Monitors and maintains end-user connectivity to network systems.
  • Performs on-site analysis, diagnostics and resolution of complex system problems.
  • Develops and maintains inventory of hubs, routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
  • Documents instances of system and network failure, repair, installation and removal.
  • Performs hardware and peripheral equipment upgrades and repairs.
  • Assists in performing system backups and recovery.
  • Contributes to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Rotating on-call pager duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
