Job summary

Thermach, LLC in Appleton, WI is seeking a Systems & Service Technician to build, test, install, and service complex custom equipment. The role involves assembling and integrating equipment at our Appleton facility, testing and calibrating systems, and traveling to customer sites for installations and commissioning.

You will provide technical support, assist with testing and repairs, and collaborate with engineering on product improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with complex industrial equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with industrial wiring, sensors, motors, valves, controls, and instrumentation.
PLC/HMI experience preferred.
FANUC robot experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and directly with customers.
Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%.

Responsibilities

Assemble complex mechanical and electrical systems using drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair new and used equipment.
Install, start up, and commission systems at customer locations.
Provide remote and on-site technical support and customer training.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues.
Work with Engineering on new products and system improvements.
Support PLC/HMI programming and FANUC robot setup as needed.
Document service work, testing, and corrective actions.
