High Point & Affiliated Organizations is seeking a Systems and Security Administrator to oversee the administration, monitoring, and security of the agency’s IT infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system administration, network operations, or IT security roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), and Active Directory services.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and endpoint security tools.
• Experience with system and security monitoring tools, network analyzers, and logging platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and GPOs.
• Monitor Microsoft 365 and Azure AD services for availability, secure access, and policy compliance.
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
• Collaborate with IT team to support new system rollouts and infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain network topology documentation and ensure diagrams reflect active configurations.
• Administer virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper‑V) and manage resource allocation.
• Manage security tools (endpoint protection, MFA, encryption, log management, vulnerability scanners).
• Monitor system logs and firewall traffic for anomalies and escalate as needed.
• Support disaster recovery planning, backups, and business continuity practices.
