Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL seeks a System Safety Engineer (SSE) to lead hazard analyses and implement safety programs across products for the warfighter. You will develop and apply safety analyses, drive system safety activities, and present technical results to stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Expect collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and program managers in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering discipline.
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-882 and its associated analyses.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Developing hazard analyses and safety assessments.
• Analyzing and recommending safety criteria in system design and procedures.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and documentation.
• Coordinating and leading System Safety Working Group meetings.
• Reviewing specifications and design changes for adverse impacts to system safety.
• Participating in accident investigations and identifying corrective actions.
