Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an undergraduate Intern for opportunities located in Colorado Springs, CO; El Segundo, CA; or Chantilly, VA. The role supports the Enterprise Effects Division and Portfolio Analysis Department with portfolio management and system-level analysis.

Responsibilities include engineering support, interaction with government customers, and deployment of Aerospace tools. You must be a current full-time student pursuing a relevant degree and able to obtain a security

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, physics or related discipline.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to degree program after completion.
• Junior class standing completed by internship start date.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to function in multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
• Coursework or research in system architecting activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering.
• Interact with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers.
• Support deployment of Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers.
• Identify new capabilities and enhancements to support customers.
• Initiate studies to solve new technical problems and propose actions.
• Inform management of technical problems and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams.
• Occasional travel may be required.
