Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an undergraduate Intern for an on-site opportunity in the United States (Colorado Springs, CO; El Segundo, CA; or Chantilly, VA). You will support portfolio management and systems engineering activities, interacting with government customers and Aerospace program offices to deploy tools and drive improvements.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and must be able to

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to a degree program after completion.
• Junior class standing expected at internship start.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to function in multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
• Security clearance eligibility is required; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain clearance.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering.
• Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers.
• Support deployment or implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers.
• Identify new capabilities and enhancements to current capabilities to better support customers.
• Initiate studies to solve new technical problems and provide new solutions.
• Inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams.
• Occasional travel may be required.
