Job summary

Technic Solutions is seeking a hands-on Systems & Network Administrator to join our team in the Memphis area. This role focuses on Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and network infrastructure, with opportunities to work across wired and wireless environments.

In-office, local candidates preferred, with no remote option, and relocation not available. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT, systems or network administration.
• Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Solid DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VLAN knowledge.
• Able to troubleshoot wired and wireless networks.
• Experience with networking gear (switches, APs, gateways, firewalls).

Responsibilities

Technic Solutions, LLC is seeking a hands-on Systems & Network Administrator to join our team in the Memphis area.

This position is ideal for an IT professional with a strong systems administration background who is also comfortable supporting network infrastructure. You do not need to be a senior network engineer, but you should understand how servers, endpoints, Microsoft environments and networks work together and be comfortable troubleshooting across all of them.

Technic provides telecom, networking, infrastructure and technology services to SMB and enterprise customers across the United States, including healthcare organizations, corporate facilities and federal facilities.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and support Windows-based servers and workstations
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
• Manage user accounts, permissions, updates and system maintenance
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Support backups, endpoint security and basic cybersecurity practices
• Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN and wireless connectivity issues
• Configure and support switches, wireless access points, gateways, firewalls and VPNs
• Support Ubiquiti UniFi and Cisco Meraki environments
• Assist with equipment deployments, upgrades and technology rollouts
• Provide remote technical guidance to field technicians at customer locations
• Maintain system and network documentation
• Handle support and warranty cases with hardware and technology vendors
• Escalate advanced network engineering or wireless design issues when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of IT, systems administration, network administration or similar experience
• Experience supporting Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
• Familiarity with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VLANs
• Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless networks
• Hands-on experience with switches, wireless access points and related network equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians and internal teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco Meraki, Cisco, Aruba, Microsoft Azure, Intune, virtualization, backup solutions or managed IT/MSP environments is a plus.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent hands-on experience and demonstrated technical expertise will be considered.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, CCNA, Meraki or Ubiquiti certifications are valued but not required.

Travel & Physical Requirements

Most customer activity is within the Memphis metropolitan area, with occasional travel outside the area. Some customer engagements may require walking throughout large facilities and navigating stairs or other changes in elevation.
