Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation in Palmdale, CA (and nearby locations). The role focuses on developing and integrating system simulation frameworks, performance models, and algorithms to support mission analyses and system design in a fast-paced environment.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and the ability to obtain U.S. government clearance (Top Secret).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field completed by August 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Final approved U.S. Government security clearance may be required to start.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing mathematical models, both deterministic and stochastic, to simulate operations and behavior of systems.
• Applying modeling and simulation best practices to mission and system analyses.
• Developing and integrating mission concept development, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and spares optimization assessments.
• Performing Operations and Support (O&S) cost analyses and ROI assessments to inform decision-making.
• Applying model-based systems engineering principles to support system design, analysis, and verification activities.
