Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking mid-level to senior Systems Integration Engineers to join the 787 Systems Integration Engineering team. You will support cross-functional teams across large-scale multi-system projects, collaborating with many airplane subsystems and program teams to ensure design, testing, certification, and delivery of 787s.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in complex systems engineering or system integration, with strong communication and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related field.
• 5+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace Industry.

Responsibilities

• Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.
• Work with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security; lead these teams through complex projects.
• Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and various 787 program teams such as change management, supply chain, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers.
• Implements systems engineering best practices, and process improvements.
• Working knowledge of the aircraft certification process.
• Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team to synthesize complex information.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
