Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer – Low Voltage & Controls to support physical security, low voltage, building automation, and integrated technology systems. This hands-on role centers on configuration, programming, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field support.

You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams to deliver reliable, customer-ready solutions and provide technical training and documentation. Regional travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience configuring, programming, commissioning, integrating, or troubleshooting control, low voltage, physical security, or related technology systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis.
• Experience with equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals and device communication.
• Ability to read system diagrams and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Configure, program, and bench-test equipment in-house prior to deployment.
• Perform factory acceptance testing and functional testing against project requirements.
• Identify and resolve configuration or integration issues before field deployment.
• Prepare equipment and documentation for field teams to enable installation and commissioning.
• Improve internal staging procedures, testing standards, and deployment processes.
• Serve as escalation point for field technicians and customers in low voltage and security systems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, security, and building automation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for additional support.
• Provide commissioning, training, and handoff documentation to customers.
