Job summary

Evergreen Fire and Security is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure technical accuracy and quality of integrated security systems throughout the project lifecycle. This role reviews bids, designs, submittals, and testing procedures, coordinating with Engineering, Operations, and Field Teams to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Engineering with 5+ years in low-voltage systems, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering or related—required.
• 5+ years in low-voltage systems, physical security, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of system layouts, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality control reviews of estimates, proposals, submittals, and designs for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Review project documentation for completeness and adherence to standards and codes.
• Identify design deficiencies, risks, scope gaps, and conflicts; propose corrective actions before execution.
• Conduct independent peer reviews of engineering deliverables and provide feedback to relevant teams.
• Validate designs against contract requirements, site conditions, and manufacturer specs.
• Review submittals (drawings, calculations, testing procedures, manuals, warranties) for quality and compliance.
• Perform on-site QA inspections and audits to verify conformance with approved designs and standards.
• Support commissioning and system validation activities to ensure performance as designed.
