Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a design engineer focused on integrated security systems and low voltage design. You will review access control, IP video and related systems, and produce accurate drawings and specifications for projects.

Responsibilities include design development, coordination with Sales/PM/Install teams, CAD drafting collaboration, and presenting design concepts to internal and external audiences. Travel is not required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical 2 year degree or better and/or 1-3 years of security industry design experience.
• 3+ years experience engineering low voltage systems, preferably AV, DAS or Structured Cabling.
• Certification in 2 Access Control platforms or equivalent documented experience.
• Certification in 2 Video Management platforms or equivalent documented experience.
• Certification in 1 Intrusion platform or equivalent documented experience.
• Knowledge of NEC Code and low voltage systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized business systems.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and wiring diagrams showing device locations for low voltage projects.
• Develops functional design, construction drawings, relay settings, and equipment specs.
• Prepare electrical construction documents for renovations and new builds.
• Design low voltage systems including security networks and IP Video.
• Responsible for all aspects of low voltage design within projects.
• Conduct surveys, produce drawings/layouts, and ensure codes/standards compliance.
• Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders as part of the design process.
• Collaborate with Sales, PM and Installation teams.
• Work with CAD Drafters to produce installation packages.
• Support engineering sales and review proposed systems.
• Set up and test new products and design concepts.
