This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Summit TRC is seeking a motivated and ambitious Systems Integration Engineer. The ideal candidate will perform integration tasks like installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis of a variety of operating systems and other system or network components. If you have a knack for making different software and hardware communicate seamlessly at the low level (including bare metal), please apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and test various Operating Systems including Linux, mobile O/S (Android), embedded systems, and windows
• Integrate and test hardware and software components to improve system compatibility and performance
• Implement and manage virtualized solutions through tools like VMware or different hypervisors
• Develop scripts for autonomous deployment, monitoring, or configuration management using languages like Bash, Python, or Ansible
• Automate the creation, deployment, and configuration of virtual machines and containers
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network-related issues
• Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity engineers to design and integrate seamless solutions from the physical layer to the application layer
• Develop technical engineering documentation

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
• Must be US Citizen possessing a secret clearance
• Strong proficiency with Linux systems, such as RHEL
• Strong proficiency with other operating systems
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors
• Proficiency in scripting and automation
• Solid understanding of networking concepts
• Experience with maintaining cybersecurity best practices

Nice to Have:

• Experience with utilizing containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes in a secure environment
• Certs like a Sec+, Linux+, CCNA, Network+, etc.
