Job summary

Talent Stack is seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support advanced Command & Control satellite ground systems. You will work with software, systems, integration, and test teams in an Agile Release Train (ART) environment to verify, validate, and troubleshoot complex hardware and software interfaces.

You will develop and execute test plans, scripts, and environments, conducting regression and validation testing while collaborating with customers to meet mission requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline; Masters preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with software integration and testing in an Agile CI/CD environment.
• Experience with regression testing, test scripting, and test automation.
• Experience in command‑and‑control ground systems or space‑based ISR platforms.
• Hands‑on systems integration and test engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging of software‑based systems.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Python, and/or Perl.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer 3 – C2 / Satellite Ground Systems

About the Opportunity:

Talent Stack is supporting a premier defense and aerospace program seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support advanced Command & Control (C2) satellite ground systems.

This role sits within Systems Integration & Test (SI&T), where you’ll help integrate, verify, validate, and troubleshoot complex software and hardware systems supporting mission‑critical space operations.

You’ll work alongside software, systems, integration, and test engineers in an Agile Release Train (ART) environment, with a strong focus on system integration, automated testing, debugging, and verification and validation.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform software and hardware integration and testing for advanced C2 ground systems
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts
• Conduct regression, verification, and validation testing
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system‑level software and hardware issues
• Debug system functions, interfaces, and performance issues
• Build and maintain integration and test environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to ensure systems meet mission requirements
• Support integration and test activities within an Agile CI/CD environment
• Contribute to the delivery of reliable, mission‑critical satellite ground system capabilities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related technical discipline, Masters degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with software integration and testing in an Agile CI/CD environment
• Experience with regression testing, test scripting, and test automation
• Experience developing software within a relevant technical domain, such as command‑and‑control ground systems or space‑based ISR platforms
• Hands‑on systems integration and test engineering
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience with software‑based systems or products
• Experience with Red Head Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Python, and/or Perl
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required due to security‑clearance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Satellite ground system development or operations experience
• Experience with satellite Command & Control (C2) systems
• Experience in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Cucumber, Gherkin, and Zephyr
• Experience with Java, C++, Python, and Linux
• Experience working in cloud‑based environments
