Senior Systems Engineer – Integration and Test
Location: Aurora, CO. On-site position for U.S. citizens requiring an active TS/SCI clearance without polygraph. Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200.
Position Overview
Senior Systems Engineer supports the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) program, integrating, verifying, and validating complex ground systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams to develop industry‑leading ground system solutions.
- Perform integration and test activities as part of an Agile Release Train.
- Identify technical issues during software and hardware integration and work with engineers to resolve them.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for system verification and validation.
- Debug and troubleshoot system issues to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Support Agile program objectives, helping to meet development and delivery milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in software integration and testing within an Agile CI/CD environment.
- Hands‑on integration and test engineering experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for software‑based systems.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Python and/or Perl.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in satellite ground system development or operations.
- Development experience in mission management or space‑based ISR platforms.
- Knowledge of the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Gherkin, and Zephyr.
- Experience with Java, C++, Python, Linux, and cloud‑based environments.
