Job summary

Clackamas Education Service District is hiring a Systems Infrastructure Engineer II for Technology Services. This role focuses on reliable on‑prem and cloud infrastructure, including servers, SAN, backups, and security.

Onsite work is required at the Clackamas location. You will design, implement, and optimize enterprise infrastructure, manage Active Directory and DNS, and coordinate with clients and engineers to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• At least four years' equivalent work experience managing enterprise server environments.
• Advanced knowledge and recent successful experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Experience administering and deploying hypervisor virtualization technologies.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated network equipment.
• Experience configuring and managing Active Directory environments and identity management solutions.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to document clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Plan upgrades and patches for software, applications, and tools.
• Ensure data center/server security, access control, and environmental monitoring.
• Collaborate with clients and CESD engineers to ensure availability and performance of servers.
• Document configurations, policies, and procedures following standards.
• Support and troubleshoot complex server issues and disaster recovery planning.
