Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Systems Engineer II for its IT Systems Operations team in Phoenix, AZ. This hybrid role supports Windows/Linux servers and hybrid cloud deployments, with on-call rotation after hours.

The engineer will patch and maintain systems, develop automation, document configurations, and assist with incident response and project work under supervision of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6 years of progressive work related experience in technology or related field.
• 4 years Windows and/or Linux/Red Hat administration experience.
• 1 year automation or scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Deploys and maintains Windows/Linux server platforms and hybrid cloud components.
• Resolves moderately complex technical issues with stakeholders and vendors.
• Applies patches, firmware updates, and version upgrades.
• Maintains automation scripts and RBAC compliance.
• Prepares technical documentation for solutions and processes.
• Participates in incident triage and root cause analysis.
• Supports change management, testing, and release processes.
