Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Orlando, FL, seeks a Systems Implementation Manager to lead end-to-end design, implementation, testing, and go-live of turnkey robotics systems.   • Ensure integrated system designs meet performance and technical requirements.
  • Mentor field implementation team members.
  • Ensure site safety requirements are met by personnel and subcontractors.
  • Travel up to 60% to client sites nationwide.

Systems Implementation Manager

Location: Orlando, Florida (Remote)

Role Overview

A Manager of Implementation Service is responsible for leading all disciplines required to support the project team during the design, implementation, testing, and go-live of turnkey robotics systems. This position oversees the day-to-day aspects of the project, serving as the primary client contact and being responsible for the final project execution. This role is software-driven, requiring a background in systems or software implementation to manage hardware budgets while understanding the complexities of software testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead entire projects from concept refinement through to client satisfaction, overseeing up to 2-3 projects concurrently depending on size and scope.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for all on-site activities, managing a diverse cross-functional team of internal and external partners.
  • Develop test plans and scenarios, and understand the process of WMS integration.
  • Manage and maintain issue tracking, including identifying root causes, evaluating resolutions, and delegating responsibilities.
  • Oversee the project schedule, including tracking key milestones, planning resources, and managing the critical path for successful system turnover using tools like Smartsheets and MS Project.
  • Ensure all integrated system designs meet specified performance and technical requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor all field implementation team members.
  • Ensure all site safety requirements are met by personnel and subcontractors.
  • Travel up to 60% to client sites nationwide, which may come in waves of 3-4 weeks of consistent travel.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising and managing field installation.
  • Project management and execution experience including planning, scheduling, resource management, installation, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Experience with transitioning complex systems to full operation.
  • A background in systems or software implementation is strongly preferred.
  • Education: A degree is required for candidates with less than 10 years of experience. A degree is not required for candidates with 10 or more years of experience.
Skills
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets and MS Project to manage project schedules.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a customer-facing role.
  • Detailed understanding of skilled trades (e.g., electricians, millwrights, riggers).
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment layouts, assembly drawings, and detailed vendor blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study, such as Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of the design process and installation/integration process.
  • Experience in the development of equipment specifications.
  • Background or significant understanding of the material handling or robotic industry.
  • Willingness to travel 50% - 60% annually, with periods up to 80%.
