Job summary

Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) in Middleton, WI is seeking a Systems Estimator to provide accurate quotes for lighting systems, review designs and BOMs, and support the dealer networks and internal customers. Ideal candidates have a background in systems design and lighting or rigging products with strong communication and organizational skills.

The role involves pricing, BOM creation, project coordination, and collaboration with regional managers to ensure timely quotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years comparable business experience.
• 1-3 years previous job-related experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial, architectural, theatrical lighting or rigging products.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generates pricing and Bills of Materials for low to moderate complex projects.
• Interprets plans and specifications.
• Assigns systems services based on customer information.
• Calculates pricing based on equipment list.
• Receives takeoffs from senior estimators to prepare quote packages.
• Prepares quotation documents and delivers by customer deadlines.
• Performs configurations for standard and custom products.
• Provides sales support and answers questions from regional managers.
• Explains sales policies to systems customers and communicates pricing concerns.

The Role:

Systems Estimators are responsible for providing accurate and timely quotes of our world class lighting systems. This involves the review of designs and bills of materials to assign pricing and relay that back to our rep and dealer networks and internal customers. You’ll learn about a variety of our product lines and support these projects for theatrical, architectural, and commercial markets. Communication, accuracy, a keen eye for detail, and timeliness are key in this role! A background in systems design and the lighting industry is preferred.

Representative Responsibilities:

• Generates pricing and Bills of Materials for low to moderate complex projects

• Receive Takeoffs from senior level System Estimators to prepare quote package
• Prepares quotation documents and deliver by customer deadlines
• Performs configurations for standard and custom product
• Provides sales support
• Answers questions of regional managers
• Explains sales policies to systems customer
• Determines when to articulate concerns about given jobs
• Answers new customer inquiries
• Answers internal factory inquiries
• Answers questions from Project Manager regarding quotations and additional pricing
• Answers calls from Tech services about pricing on customer replacement parts
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers
• Helps monitor and schedule incoming customer quote requests
• Complete additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions pertaining to ETC markets and customers
• 1-3 years previous job-related experience
• Working knowledge of commercial, architectural, theatrical lighting or rigging products
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work quickly and accurately
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
