Job summary
Symbotic is seeking a Manager, Systems Engineer to run our system control center, ensuring critical issues are communicated to cross-functional teams for optimal system performance. You will lead system optimization, drive project timelines and budgets, and develop operational work schedules with customer requirements.
You will oversee monitoring and troubleshooting of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles, while coaching operators and coordinating with customer teams on
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience with automated systems.
- 3+ years direct people leadership.
- 2+ years with PLC/Robot/Software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
- Experience with project management, continuous improvement and six sigma.
- Hands-on experience with assembling, operating and troubleshooting robotics and electro‑mechanical systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and changing priorities.
- 75% of time on construction site with PPE.
Responsibilities
- Monitor health of automated adapters, lifts, and robotic vehicles.
- Lead troubleshooting of advanced system issues.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to site teams and customers.
- Analyze field issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Train operators on system and IT problems.
- Backfill on-site Symbotic roles as needed.
- Own escalated issues and outages through go-live.
- Support continuous improvement of warehouse automation.
