Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Electromechanical System Engineer to lead the system control center and drive continuous improvement for optimal performance. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, document findings, and train operators across automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, and warehouse IT systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/software engineering, CS, automation or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years' experience with automated systems.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), ABB robots, and languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
• Hands-on experience building, operating and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Eager to learn new equipment and assist teammates.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles.
• Troubleshoot advanced system and operational issues.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to site teams and customers.
• Document and report issues to engineering and collaborate on solutions.
• Train operators on system components and IT problems.
• Backfill on-site roles as needed.
• Collaborate with customers and internal/external teams.
• Escalate issues to support production and teams as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of the warehouse automation solution.
• Ensure safety commitments per OSHA and customer processes are met.
