Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz in Frederick, MD seeks an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead a multi-product, cross-functional team and translate high-level customer needs into precise design requirements that drive successful outcomes.

You will collaborate with Sales, PM, Production, and product engineering teams in the US and Europe, oversee presales, design, integration, and deployment of monitoring systems, and deliver clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong RF, spectrum monitoring and analysis background.
• Experience with systems for critical infrastructure customers.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and work with cross-border teams.
• U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a US government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a high functioning systems engineering team across multiple product segments.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Program Management, and Production.
• Align Sale opportunities with engineering support priorities.
• Manage the presales, design, integration, and deployment systems / subsystems for R&S Spectrum Monitoring, Mobile Network Testing and IP Analysis.
• Lead efforts for creating and maintaining technical documentation according to customer requirements.
• Translate customer needs into requirements and competitive solutions maximizing R&S content.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
• Participate in communication with customers and R&S product design team.
• Work closely with the product engineering teams based in Europe and North America.
