Job summary

iRF Solutions is seeking a Director of Engineering in Sparks, MD, to lead a high‑level engineering team focused on RF receivers and related microwave systems. You will translate strategy into execution, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and deliver complex projects on schedule and within budget.

You will develop technology roadmaps, engage with customers, and guide the technical direction across RF, mechanical, and digital design disciplines while ensuring compliance with security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree (preferred) with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• 10+ years’ experience in managing a team of technically high-level engineers.
• Experience in RF development is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering teams and projects, bridging technical strategy with execution.
• Hire, mentor, and develop staff while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Direct RF, Mechanical, and Digital Design engineering activities and manage resources, costs and schedules.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps and engage with customers to guide the technical direction of product development.
• Collaborate with senior staff to establish strategic plans and objectives for government and military applications.
