Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager in Richardson, TX to lead a team of SEIT engineers and contribute hands-on systems engineering on radar, RF, and sensor-based programs. The role combines frontline management with technical execution, shaping design, verification, and integration across multi-disciplinary teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s plus extensive experience (or a graduate degree with fewer years) and an active US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; or graduate degree with 7+ years; in lieu of a degree, 13+ years of experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a technical team.
Active US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of systems engineers and perform productive work on programs.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers in planning, design, manufacturing, and testing of radar, RF, and sensor-based systems.
Provide direct systems engineering support to programs while also managing functional team activities.
Develop requirements definitions, verification matrices, traceability, and interface specifications.
Identify risks and gaps early to guide prototype testing and mitigation strategies.
Drive engineering process improvements and support proposals and cost estimates.
