Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead SE teams in the METL department within AVSI. The role combines functional oversight with hands-on program work and requires a Secret clearance.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of leadership in multi-disciplinary settings, strong communication, and the ability to mentor staff while delivering complex system integration tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related experience, or 6+ years with a Master's.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with SAP eligibility.
• 1+ year of experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Cameo.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional/organizational leadership to a Systems Engineering group of up to 12 engineers.
• Balance ~20% functional work with ~80% technical program tasks.
• Mentor and coach employees to support performance and career development.
• Collaborate across METL and AVSI to achieve department goals.
