Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Systems Engineer / VTC Operator to support a customer in Quantico, VA. The role covers program management, logistics, asset management, engineering, cybersecurity, and 24x7 enterprise services sustainment for VoIP and video systems including UCaaS and SIP trunking, with a focus on QoS/QoE and security.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in unified communications with strong VoIP, video, and networking expertise, plus CCNP/CCIE Voice or equivalent certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years practical experience in voice and video management.
• 5+ years experience in unified communications with focus on voice and video systems.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP).
• Experience with Cisco TelePresence and Polycom RealPresence.
• Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype for Business.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with QoS and QoE tools (Cisco QoS, NetIQ).
• CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice certification.
• CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration certification.
• MCSE in Skype for Business.
• CCNA or CCNP in Routing and Switching.
• Preferred: 7+ years in Video Audio engineering environment management.
• Preferred: DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance.
• Preferred: Cloud certified.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and create / update system package artifacts for Tactical AV located in Hawaii.
• Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and Video conferencing systems management.
• UCaaS solutions, SIP trunking, and voice/video network architecture.
• QoS and QoE management; security and compliance for UC systems.
• Work in fast-paced environment; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Support for DoD/cleared environments as required.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER / VTC OPERATOR | TIER III (MIELS):

Bowhead is seeking Systems Engineer / VTC Operator to support a customer in Quantico, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.

• Familiarity with unified communications platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype for Business.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred: Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

The pay scale for this position is between $115,000 - $145,000.
