Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Coos Bay, Oregon location. The role supports day-to-day operations, technical readiness, and watch-standing duties with 24/7/365 coverage.

Relocation assistance is available for the most qualified candidates. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electronic maintenance and information systems, and holds TS/SCI clearance with US citizenship.

Qualifications

5 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 3 years with a master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience.
Background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplines.
Experience with management of electronic equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and calibration.
Experience in Safety Procedures when working with electronic equipment.
Ability to identify and correct emergent problems involving technical and/or facility-related equipment, systems, and components.
Experience following quality assurance steps/checks.
US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance requirements.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Provides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
Performs duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) oversees the conduct of routine and preventative maintenance.
Drafts daily/monthly/weekly watch bills in support of operational requirements.
