Job summary

HII's Mission Technologies in Honolulu, HI seeks a Systems Engineer to support day-to-day operations and technical readiness of the program and facility equipment. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and join a night-and-day watch team across critical systems.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, strong maintenance and repair skills, and a commitment to mission success. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates relocating to Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Must have background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplines.
• Experience with management of electronic equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and calibration.
• Must have experience in Safety Procedures when working with electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Provides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
• Performs duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) overseeing the conduct of routine and preventative maintenance.
• Informs the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capability.
• Drafts daily/monthly/weekly watch bills in support of operational requirements.
