Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) with Test Automation Experience to join a team supporting MilPDS and HRSD. The role requires applying software engineering skills to test automation, tool engineering, and quality verification across DoD systems.

Strong scripting and CI/CD experience with UiPath and UFT One is expected. The candidate will perform system-level tests, develop maintainable automation code, and support Agile engineering, documentation, and risk management

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline.
• OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 5 of which must be in the DoW.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, VBScript, or C++) and core software engineering concepts.
• Experience creating, debugging, and maintaining automated test suites using UiPath, OpenText UFT One or similar GUI automation frameworks.
• Understanding of software quality assurance, manual testing, test procedures, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies and quality management.
• Design and perform system-level tests to ensure subsystems meet specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation and management reports for planning and corrective action.
• Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering support and training for programs.
• Support risk management activities in compliance with AF SEAM processes.
