Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) with Test Automation experience to support HRSD MilPDS and legacy applications. You will apply software engineering skills to test automation, tool engineering, and quality verification across Air Force systems.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years in the DoW, or 15 years of related experience with certifications.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, VBScript, or C++).
Experience creating, debugging, maintaining automated test suites using UiPath, OpenText UFT One, or similar GUI automation frameworks.
Knowledge of software quality assurance, manual testing, test procedure creation, and defect tracking (e.g., Jira).
Familiarity with RMF and Federal DoW cybersecurity policies.

Responsibilities

Identify, describe, and apply IT acquisition strategies and quality management in support of IT/software systems.
Design and perform system-level tests to ensure performance against specifications.
Prepare technical documentation defining system/subsystem characteristics.
Create management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning and corrective actions.
Validate software systems with analyses and evaluation procedures.
Provide Agile and Digital system engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, and deployment.
