Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Software Engineer, Journeyman, to join the Directorate Support Team. This role focuses on DevSecOps practices to deliver high-quality software with CI/CD, automated testing, and secure coding standards in support of AFLCMC/GBE.

Onsite work, agile processes, and collaboration with a federal-government program team are essential. The ideal candidate has strong experience in software development, software architecture, and containerization

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field with at least three years of experience in the DoW, three of which must be in the DoW.
Or seven years of directly related experience with proper DoD-related certifications, five of which must be in the DoW.
Active Secret Clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing documentation for planning, design, coding, support, and test.
Evaluating requirements, solutions, and proposed changes.
Improving operations via systems and process analysis and policy recommendations.
Advising on software procurements by researching and documenting vendor results, configurations, and testing.
Developing software solutions by studying requirements and following an Agile SDLC.
Evaluating technologies like containerization, Kubernetes, IaC, APIs, and CI/CD; reinforcing cybersecurity policies.
